Procedure :-
* Dry roast poppy seeds, until lightly browned and there is aroma of roasting.
* Once it gets cool, grind it well.
* Boil water and sugar together, to make syrup of one wire consistency.
* Add mawa or bottle gourd powder
in syrup; stir well until it gets mixed
* Add poppy seeds powder and mix
it thoroughly.
* Spread evenly on the tray quickly, before it begins to set.
* Let it cool and then cut it into shapes
you want.
* Poppy seeds barfi is ready to serve.
