Our Philosophy

  • Ayurveda is the oldestform of medicine ever known to mankind. It is a science of preventive and curative knowledge, based on principles that date back around 5000 years for the welfare of mankind and all the living entities. Ayurveda in India has its mythological origin and was the divine science known to gods. This was transferred by Lord Indra to Acharya Bharadwaja. He transferred the same to other legends in an intellectual ‘Sabha’ held in the Himalayas. Acharya Agnivesha, the disciple ofAcharya Atreya authored the first book based on this knowledge, which is still available today in the form of ‘Charaka Samhita’. Ayurveda evolved as an Upveda 0f the Atharvaveda. It has a much wider span and does not limit itself only to the human race. There are other forms of Ayurveda like ‘Ashvayarveda’ for horses, ‘Vrakshayarveda’ for The Plant kingdom, ‘Hastyayurveda ’ for elephants as well.
  • Ayurveda is enriched with the knowledge of preventive methods for diseases, disease caasingfactors and treatment modalities. Ayurveda is based on the threefunctional elements called as the Doshas namely ‘Vata’, ‘Pitta’ and ‘Kapha’, these along with ‘Dhatas’ and ‘Malas’ contribute in disease developmentprocess. Ayurveda has classified the intricate diseases very minutely and to its atmostpragmatic extent, still havinga provision to adapt and implement any newly developing clinical conditions which may not find a direct resemblance in any of the classical texts. Thus it can treat any of the clinical conditions once interpreted in the terms of ‘Doshas’. Ayarvedic formulations are time tested without any apparent change in the formulation and capability. Treatments are based on herbs, shrubs, metals, minerals and certain products from animal kingdom as well. Even complex molecules like cobra venom are also used in difi‘erent clinical conditions.
  • Ayurveda has the most flourished drug delivery system. A lot of options are explained in which an herb, metal or a mineral can actually be processed and utilized as a medicine. For an example, a simple medicine like Azadirachta Indica (neem) can be processed in cliflerentforms like Ghee, Oil, Decoction, Arishta, Fresh Crude, Choorna, Mashi and Ghana. This versatility takes the Physicians a step ahead as he/she can mix any two herbs in a desiredproportion and form ( or create) a third combination tailored according to the patients need. Every Ayarvedicprescription is an exemplar of a sartorial medicine. In Ayurveda, precious metals like Gold and Silver are used in chronic conditions and these aid quicker results as compared to simple herbal managements. Mercury is a key to the Mineral kingdom. Metals and Minerals are subjected to purification procedures. Now these purified metals are subjected to heat in a furnace at variable degrees of temperature, properly using cow dung cakes, till the time they are transformed to a safe and easily bio—availableform called as 'Bhasma'. Bhasmas are completely safe and the mostpotentform of medicine available today.
